タティア類の中では最も有名な種類で、大型にならず
飼育しやすい種類です。

詳細説明
そもそもタチア（タティア）Tatia ではない。
商品名ゴールデンレオパードタティアもしくはブルーレオパードタティアには Duringlanis altae と Duringlanis perugiae の２種が含まれるが、商品名上は区別されていない。
外見ではペルギアエ D. perugiaeの方が派手で黒斑が細かく、アルテア D. altaeの方が黒斑が大きく地味である。
性格は２種とも同様で夜行性であり、大きな違いは無い。
食性も同様で、人口飼料や冷凍赤虫に良く餌付く。
小形の種類であるが、夜行性の肉食性であるため、小形の魚種との混泳には注意が必要である。
分布はコロンビア、ブラジルだが、輸入はもっぱらペルーのようである。
文献上の記録では、ペルーにはいない事になっているが、業者間の生体のやり取りで、どこの国から来るかは生息地と一致しないこともある。
以前、ロングフィンのアピスト（ミクロゲオファグス）がブラジルから来たことがあった。
